SHADOWS

Discover the transformative potential of shadows in photography at the new exhibition ‘SHADOWS‘ by Vincent Caruso. Join us on Saturday, July 22, from 5 PM to 8 PM to explore the interplay of light and shadow, adding depth and balance to our visual narrative. Don’t miss the chance to witness the poetic and practical roles of shadows in this captivating art form.

The chiaroscuro effect, popularized by painters, is now embraced by photographers like Ansel Adams and Henri Cartier-Bresson, capturing human emotion and nature’s beauty. Diane Arbus‘s portraits showcase how shadows add dimension. In street photography, deliberate compositions using crisp shadows from hard light sources create captivating interplay, drawing viewers in and offering a sense of anonymity.
